Reconstructive Surgery
Reconstructive Surgery is a repair or reconstruction surgery. It is the reconstruction of organs that are congenitally missing or defective, damaged, or deformed as a result of an accident, burn, or tumor surgery. An example of reconstructive surgery is the repair of a nose within aesthetic measures if the nose is broken, collapsed, or deformed as a result of an accident. Reconstructive surgery, which covers a very small part of plastic surgery, aims to operate as functional and aesthetic as possible.
Aesthetic Surgery
Aesthetic Surgery is a shaping surgery. In other words, it is changing the shape of the tissues and organs that are distorted in shape or size in line with the person's liking and ideal dimensions. Enlarging small breasts with a prosthesis and correcting a crooked nose within aesthetic measures are examples of this.
Aesthetic procedures can be applied to anyone with good mental health. While time is important for some surgeries, most of them can be done at almost any age. For example, rhinoplasty should be done after the age of 15-16. Performing cleft lip surgery usually at 3 months of age, cleft palate surgery before 1.5 years of age, prominent ear surgery after 5-6 years of age, and breast enlargement surgery after 17 years of age are important in terms of providing the most ideal result.
Aesthetic surgeries are not painful and restrictive surgeries. Painkillers can suppress the minimal pain that may occur when used on time. For example, in breast prosthesis surgeries involving the muscles, the feeling of pain and tension may last for 4-5 days.
There are very few dangers arising from aesthetic surgery itself. Since there is no intervention related to vital organs and tissues, the health or life of patients is not at serious risk. Since vital organs and tissues are not damaged, recovery is faster in surgeries that are of interest to plastic surgery.
